No Dancing in Public
Despite being so modern and even considered an oasis of freedom, it is absolutely forbidden in Dubai to put on your dancing shoes and boogey in public. Not just that, but you’re also not allowed to play loud music and even hold hands in public spaces.
These acts, including countless others, are considered inappropriate and provocative behavior by the authorities based on local guidelines. The new laws reflect Islamic traditions where public decency and morality are upheld by the police. If you can’t give up the boogey, please note that dancing is allowed within the privacy of your homes and at licensed bars and nightclubs.
