The Emir of Kano has given what appears to be a reply to the Boko Haram leader, Shekau.
You would recall that the sect’s leader taunted among others, Buhari, Obasanjo, Jonathan, Bush, and the Emir of Kano in a video released by the Islamic sect last Saturday.
In his reply, the Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness, Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, said that he remained protected against any evil attack and that nothing is going to happen to him except what the will of Allah, the creator, is.
This was disclosed at a Friday special prayer session held in Kano City Central Mosque (Masallachin Sarki) a day before. The Emir who presided over the special prayer reiterated his earlier call on the general public not to relent their efforts at warding off the deadly group.
On Boko Harm’s position on attacking religious groups, Muhammad Sanusi II urged all Muslim faithfuls and the followers of Tijianiyya, Qadiriyya, and Izala religious movements to be extremely vigilant and to continue guarding themselves against any insurgent attacks.
He places much emphasis on churches, mosques, markets, and hospitals, and called on the people to equip themselves against any attacks at such places.
People should not abandon their sources of livelihoods and places of worship because of fear created by the evil doers. People should not succumb to mortal fears, instead, should do their best to be their brother’s keepers. Buhari said.
“I am protected and nothing is going to happen to me”, the Emir stated.
