Musical Chairs

I hate it when I can’t find an empty seat in a café or somewhere, only to see someone is using an extra chair for their coat or bag. If I go up to them ad ask politely for the chair, they have no choice but to give up the chair, but they usually do so with a fake smile, implying they are really annoyed by the fact that their coat or bag is now chair-less because of me.

I know that he meant something else completely, but this still reminds me of a famous quote by 13th-century Persian poet, Islamic scholar, and Sufi mystic, Jalal al-Din Muḥammad Rumi: “I saw many humans on whom there were no clothes, I saw many clothes in which there were no humans.”
