Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach, 1981
Ringo Starr rose to fame in the early 1960s as the original drummer of the iconic band The Beatles. It wasn’t until 1980, on the set of the movie The Caveman when he met his future wife Barbara Bach. Instead of a flashy event, they were married in a civil union at the Marylebone Register Office in London.
Bach, a model and former Bond girl, is pictured wearing a dress designed by David and Elizabeth Emanuel. They celebrated their happy union at Rags, a nightclub in London. The two are still married today, and when asked how their union lasted so long, she claimed it lasted thanks to a fairly straightforward reason: “I love the man, that’s it.” This couple has it all figured out!
