Long Hours for Half a Year

On Deadliest Catch, the crew appears to go out, bring in their haul, and return home for the night. In reality, the crew is often away at sea for weeks or months at a time. Although they appear to be frequent, a complete season might be shot on a single trip.

The camera crews capture everything that happens on the water, and the editing team creates the story. The camera crew, like the fisherman, have to contend with tiring workdays and bad weather. That means they will be sick for a long time if they don’t get their sea legs before leaving.
