#2: AOL Instant Messenger
This is not only about AIM, but any instant messenger from back then. I was more of an MSN Messenger kid myself. You’d spend hours messaging your friends, both in your town and across the world. If someone was being a little creepy, always asking “a/s/l?” then you could block them and never have to worry.

While messaging people is easier than ever, I miss the instant messengers of old. Maybe it’s because I don’t like to talk to people as much. Or perhaps I don’t like having it 24/7 and prefer to have it as an after-school or work thing. Either way, I’m going to nudge you if you don’t answer!
