#5: Scares With a Side of Toast
The Brave Little Toaster is a 1987 animated movie about anthropomorphic appliances going on an adventure. It sounds cute and innocent enough, right? Just look at that happy face on the toaster! Don’t let that fool you, though, because this movie gets dark. At one point, the toaster has a nightmare about a demonic firefighter clown, and that gives us many nightmares in return.

Near the peak, the appliances get sent to a dump, with the final antagonist being a garbage crusher. And the cars that are being crushed sing songs about how they used to be useful, but now they’re “Worthless!” As an adult, this song gives you an existential crisis! It’s a movie about a toaster, Disney!
