Not only is America the only country to stray from using the metric system, but they are famous for making up measurements that are less than scientific. For example, Americans will tell you how many minutes their drive is versus how many miles it was. Not exactly precise, right? But wait, it gets better.

This is so American. Americans love their football and love it so much that they use it to describe a large measurement. We know football fields are big and all, but that really doesn’t mean anything to anyone living outside of the United States. At least say something is a soccer field’s length!
