Remember a while ago when we mentioned that Americans love to end their sentences with the word “period”? Well, it gets better. Many Americans also love to say the word “question” before they begin to ask a question. Is it necessary? Not at all, but maybe it does have a hint of courtesy to it.

No, it’s not just in the movies. Saying the word question before asking a question that happens throughout America. It’d be even funnier if they prefaced the word question with a question and then answered their own question by ending the sentence with the word “period”. That would combine two American quirks at once!
