Socked and Taped Birds
As a former FBI and CIA agent, I can tell you that the most unusual thing I ever saw in my line of work was when a female passenger was stopped by the TSA. She was wearing bulky clothing, and when they did a pat-down, they discovered two birds wrapped in socks and taped to the leg and chest of the woman. It’s a strange sight, and it definitely raised suspicion! Who knows what the woman was planning to do with those birds? It’s a mystery that will remain unsolved.
Socked and Taped Birds Ah, the passengers that were arrested on suspicion of smuggling and exporting an endangered species. We can all imagine the scene: a poor bird, socked and taped, being smuggled out of the country, all in the name of illegal wildlife trade. It’s a sad sight, and one that former FBI and CIA agents weren’t allowed to talk about–until now. How many birds were seized? How many criminal organizations were involved? We can only guess, but we can be sure that the poor creatures were treated like criminals, and their plight was kept a secret. So, the next time you see a bird in a cage, remember the ones that were socked and taped, and the agents who worked to protect them.
