
If Baby Boomers know one thing, it’s how to have a good time. When we were growing up, we had a devil-don’t-care attitude and were doing dangerous things left and right – even if we didn’t realize it. From lax to non-existent seat belt laws to playing on train tracks, we threw caution to the wind and had the most memorable childhoods, even if we got a few bumps and bruises along the way. #1: Riding in Cars Without Seat Belts
Before seat belt laws, you could hop in next to your dad and ride all the way to the grocery store without a seat belt. You weren’t even trying to be cool; it’s just how things were back then. It wasn’t until we started growing up and campaigns came out about how much safer it was to ride with a seat belt that your mom hooted and hollered until you listened and strapped in.
