This photo is a little too far in the past for any of us to remember it first-hand, but it’s still instantly recognizable. The five-and-dime stores were extremely popular spots throughout the United States through the middle of the 20th century. These stores had everything you could possibly imagine, from candy to random notions to household items.

You can’t buy anything for a nickel or dime these days. Heck, there’s barely anything for sale at Family Dollar that’s actually one dollar! Take us back to the days when we could buy daily goods with literal coins. If we’re being honest with ourselves, we will never see those days again. So long, Woolworth’s.
