#38: Troubles at Home
One of the things that would be really tough about being a teacher would be that you have students from all walks of life, all the way across the socioeconomic spectrum, and that means that sometimes you have students who are dealing with really terrible things at home.
And what would be really hard is knowing that there’s only so much that you can do about it. Sure, if you have reason to believe they are actually in danger, you could get them help, but for the most part, all you can do is try to be a positive force for them during those hours they’re in your class.
