#25: Globetrotting
We’ve already talked about how the advent of technology in classrooms has really changed the kind of things you find in there. But there’s one thing we haven’t mentioned that technology has made largely obsolete: Globes! You don’t have to have a globe in your classroom these days, if you don’t want to, because you can just pull up Google Maps on your computer.

But there’s something so charming about a globe. Not only does it help you better visualize the layout of our planet, but with a globe, you can do that thing where you spin it and then stick your finger on it and wherever your finger lands is where you say you’re going to live someday, or go on vacation to next. You certainly can’t do that with Google Maps.
