Not So Vegan
The OP explained how vegan wine isn’t exactly vegan-friendly, but we can assume that the same principle applies to anything marketed to vegans. The fining process, which is a vital step in making wine, involves issuing egg whites and parts of a fish. This isn’t done to lead people astray from their veganism; it’s just how wine is made.
Now, what about salads, tofu, and everything else? Can anyone 100% guarantee that a bug didn’t get crushed up in the mix of ingredients? No, because even the most stringent of vegan certification organizations can’t attend the manufacturing process. All we can do is give others the benefit of the doubt.
