Salespeople are always annoying in real life, but for some reason, Flo from the Progressive commercials is a lovable character. She’s arguably the most famous commercial character in television (well, after The Most Interesting Man in the World). If nothing else did the trick, Flo’s cheerful attitude and her determined smile could sell insurance to anyone.
The character of Flo is portrayed by actress Stephanie Courtney. The public fell in love with her, and Flo has become an iconic mascot of TV advertisement. Courtney ended up appearing in over a hundred advertisements for Progressive. She has appeared in minor television and film roles, but to this day, this remains the most notable role of the 50-year old actress.
