#2: The Black Hole (1979)

Considering how many films the company has made, it isn’t unheard of for Walt Disney Productions to have an obscure title. Yet that’s exactly the case for The Black Hole. Unlike Saturn 3, this film made back its budget in the box office and even got a few Academy Award nominations. In Black Hole, we meet the crew of the USS Palomino as they discover a black hole en route home to Earth. That’s when they meet Dr. Reinhardt who had been aboard the USS Cygnus which had been declared missing 20 years ago.
