Perfect Insulation
This is actually an ingenious invention, even if it doesn’t look like it. What you’re feasting your eyes on right now is a makeshift insulation pod for a 3D printer. This person needed a way to keep their 3D printer’s spool of plastic warm enough to mold during the frigid winter months.
So, they constructed a frame using PVC and wrapped the entire thing in clingwrap film. That way, the cold from the outdoors won’t cause the plastic to prematurely cool down, and the engineer can continue doing what they do best—3D-printing all sorts of things that they’ll probably use once for very niche problems.
