A sad reality
This person tells his sad story of what it was like after he left prison. Society had pretty much rejected him. Nobody wants to hire an ex-con, right? Finding a job is nearly impossible, and if people know your history, they’re more likely to want nothing to do with you. It’s sad to think that people who’ve reformed have no chance of surviving in the real world.
But what’s depressing is how much time he lost with his family. His parents had more snow on their heads than before the OP was incarcerated. Man, we’d give anything to turn the clock back and spend time with our moms and dads.
