Disney animated movies are some of the most beloved and popular. I mean, what little kid doesn’t love twirling like Belle or swimming like Ariel? And let’s get real here for a second- what parent doesn’t know every single word to every single song from Frozen? (Let it gooooo– Does it haunt your dreams too?). Disney animators have some fun making these masterpieces, as these photos reveal. If you look closely enough the next time you are watching a movie you might just be able to spot one of these little surprises.
From cameos, jokes, and Easter eggs can be hidden in the smallest details and are incredibly easy to miss. In fact, you have probably never noticed the double narrative running throughout your kids’ favorite flicks. It seems these animators know no limits and sneak the most minute details into each movie to make it more realistic- or simply play on an inside joke with the cast. The question is- can you spot them?
The Bad Guy’s Claws
Scar is one of Disney’s most recognizable villains. Voiced by the masterful Jeremy Irons, Scar’s drawn-out cruelty against Mufasa and Simba has left a solid emotional scar on every little kid to watch The Lion King.
The animators even took to the smallest details to make sure Scar gives off an uneasy, make-you-hide-under-the-table vibe. If you look closely, you’ll see that every time Scar is depicted he has his claws out. Mufasa and Simba, on the other hand, do not. You might never have noticed this tiny detail- but it makes all the difference in how you perceive Scar unconsciously.
