Chris O’Dell
Most of the groupies you read on this list actively sought them in an attempt to get a taste of the rock n’ roll lifestyle. However, in Chris O’Dell’s case, she accidentally stumbled upon the groupie world. Initially, Chris worked as an assistant at Apple Records, the same record label that turned the Beatles into mega-superstars.
Her involvement with numerous bands became a source of inspiration. George Harrison of the Beatles wrote O’Dell in honor of Apple Record’s assistant. He penned the lyrics to the song while waiting for her to come to his apartment. After her time with the Beatles, Chris spent some time working with the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton.
