36. M*A*S*H (1972-1983)
MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors is credited as the base from which the hit TV show M*A*S*H is inspired, written by surgeon H. Richard Hornberger under the pseudonym Richard Hooker. A film was created in 1970 as an adaption of the novel, and the TV show became a spinoff of said film.
In the process, M*A*S*H turned out to be a hilarious show which has been enjoyed worldwide for its clever humor and loveable characters. Its success led it to run for eleven seasons from 1972 to 1983. It is still a popular show today.
