First Edition Treasure

There is nothing quite like having a great day at the thrift store and finding something so unique and valuable for almost nothing at all. Most of the time when you come across a valuable antique, the seller knows that it is valuable and will price it accordingly.

First edition books are very hard to come by, and usually cost an absolute fortune no matter their quality. So to come across Mark Twain’s Life on the Mississippi at a thrift store for $5 is beyond words. Printed in 1883, this book was more than 135 years old when it was purchased from the thrift store. So unassuming and modest, this book was just sitting amongst the others all this time.
