The Hells Of Making It Through The Phone Call
Sending a quick question via text, email, or instant messaging is acceptable. Rather than going through all of the social expectations of a phone call, trying to send a short and to-the-point message allows both parties to communicate what needs to be said in a much faster amount of time. This is particularly true in non-urgent situations. However, some introverts will understand a phone call for an urgent matter.
They will be agitated to take a call about a non-urgent matter. This is especially true for brief conversations that would be ideal for texting. Although most introverts know and understand how to be flexible in situations that appear to be designed for extroverts to thrive, they will enjoy people who understand their preference for digital communication. Introverted coworkers will benefit from people who respect their boundaries and use digital communication when appropriate.
