#21: Cabin in the Woods (2012)
Cabin in the Woods earned absolutely fantastic reviews when it was released in 2012, mostly because of its meticulously well-thought-out approach to all that is the horror genre. Aside from killing it in the box office, this movie is home to one of Hollywood’s most-paused scenes and for reasons much different than other movies.
There’s this interesting scene in the film where scientists are trying to figure out what potential obstacles the main characters might encounter along the way. In the background of this shot, you can pick out a dry-erase board, filled with a detailed list of creatures they’re controlling. People wanted to see which monsters were on the list, hence one of the most paused scenes.
