#24: English is Hard
This list of sentences is further proof that the English language is out of control. Someone created a collection of sentences showing how important context and cadence are when reading spelled or pronounced the same words. These twenty-one sentences are jam-packed with homographs or words that are spelled the same but have different meanings.
If English is a second language or you are not familiar with the context of certain words, these sentences can pose quite a challenge. Some of these sentences, like #7, have homographs that look and sound the same, making it extra challenging. If you’re a word nerd, try making up your own sentences and see what you come up with!
