There are many fun and bizarre facts about Tom Cruise you might not know. Since Tom Cruise has made the news headlines lately with a new film being produced, we thought we would discuss some of this celebrity’s habits, history, and other fun facts with you all.

Aladdin Molded After Tom

Yes, it’s true! Disney’s Aladdin may look somewhat familiar to you. In this 1992 film, Disney wanted Aladdin to have a more likable face. That’s when they decided to make the animated character appear more like Tom Cruise. If you put Disney’s Aladdin from the 1992 film beside Tom Cruise, you’ll notice a similarity between their two faces.

Was Raised Catholic

Tom Cruise was raised Catholic in his younger years, as both of his parents are devout Catholics. While Tom did practice this religion and was very much interested in the spiritual connection with God, he later opted to get into Scientology.

Divorces at 33

Tom Cruise has been married and divorced three times. Each of his ex-wives were 33 years old during the time of divorce. Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes may have been of different ages when Tom first married them, however, once they arrived at that magical number of 33 years old, Tom divorced them. Coincidence or not, it’s a bizarre fact!

He Could Have Been Iron Man

Apparently, Tom Cruise was offered the position to be Iron Man but declined. That’s when they went to Robert Downey, JR to fill the role.

Refuses Action Figures

Tom Cruise refuses to have video games or action figures made out of his characters. Although, we do think one slipped through the cracks for the most part Tom is known to deny such offers. He simply doesn’t want his image portrayed in video games or action figures.

Tom Can Hold his Breath a Long Time

During the filming of Mission Impossible, Tom Cruise held his breath for more than six minutes. Tom Cruise has played many underwater parts in the past but didn’t want to take so many cuts during this particular scene so he just held his breath for the duration of the shot.

 Uses the Outdoors as a Gym

Rather than hit the gym, Tom Cruise prefers to use nature as his gym. He will typically be found running kayaking, or rock-climbing and hiking to get his workout in. He does so many different activities that it’s hard to list them all, but he does state he prefers using nature and the great outdoors as his gym.
