Odin’s ravens
It’s really interesting seeing elements of Nordic mythology introduced throughout the MCU’s dealings with Thor and the other Asgardians. If you’re at all familiar with the area then you’ll get a kick out of noticing the names and roles of secondary characters and the parts of the Nordic canon that you see in the background of the films.
One such nod is to the ravens that Odin is said to have used as his spies and messengers. In mythology, they are called Huginn and Munnin. These feathered friends appear in the comics too, and in The Avengers they can be seen sitting on the throne during Thor’s coronation ceremony.
