She was a former Miss World who rose to fame as a Bollywood star after marrying Nick Jonas. Chopra, although she is showbiz royalty on two different continents, is not afraid to express her opinions.
The call to “end this race war around the world” was made public on Chopra’s social media accounts during the 2020 protests in the United States. Except that, back in India, she has served as a brand ambassador for skin lightening creams while also failing to speak out when members of the Dalit caste, who are considered “untouchable,” raised a similar call to end violence against them.
