James Stewart
A handsome face was not all that James Stewart, an American actor, was known for. He was also known for his acting abilities. The year was 1941, and Stewart had already enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps, where he rose to the rank of fighter pilot before being conscripted into the military.

When he was serving in the military, he received training to fly a variety of aircraft, including B-24 bombers. Following his successful completion of 20 combat missions and promotion to brigadier general at the conclusion of World War II, he was awarded this honour. While serving as a member of the United States Air Force Reserve, he continued to take part in military exercises and training.
