Kris Kristofferson
For some reason, we didn’t expect that this Hollywood legend would have a military career as outstanding as his. A well-known musician and actor, Kris Kristofferson is not renowned for fighting. Throughout his military career, he referred to himself as “Brat” because his father was frequently relocated for work and he spent most of his childhood travelling with him.
Kris was pressured into joining the military and marrying his high school girlfriend at the age of seventeen, which he vehemently rejected. To please his parents, Kris joined the military in 1960, and after finishing Ranger School with honours, he went on to fly helicopters. In the end, his family rejected him because he had decided to leave the military and was deeply disappointed in him.
