During this year’s Academy Awards, La La Land was mistakenly given the Best Picture award instead of Moonlight. This time around, it was Warren Beatty’s turn to portray Steve Harvey on television. There have been numerous reports of someone exclaiming, “Oh my god,” just before the announcement of the Best Picture winner was made public.
Regardless of whether or not Beatty was aware of his error, he made a costly blunder when he mixed up the envelope for Best Actress in a Leading Role with the envelope for Emma Stone’s nomination.
