Drive Safely
Religion is no laughing matter anywhere in the country, but specifically not in Texas, as they religiously attend church every Sunday morning (followed by watching football, of course). Texans are also known as pretty reckless drivers, to put it nicely – so this sign, once again, captures the essence of the state, and it seems like it would do the trick with reckless drivers.
What’s funny is that the first sign welcoming you to Hondo, Texas, is a sign encouraging (or warning) you to drive safely. If this sign doesn’t reinforce all those outdated stereotypes, I don’t know what does.
