A town without a frown
Only in Texas will you find a town called “happy.” We know that as tough as they can be, Texans are jolly people, and that’s why we’re not even surprised to see this sign. We already said that cities and towns often welcome you with a sign stating their best quality or something that makes them unique, and for Happy, they don’t need to try too hard – it’s right there in the name.
We can’t think of a more welcoming sign than this one. On top of their name, which is ought to make anyone smile, they added this sweet, catchy phrase, “the town without a frown,” and the illustration of a cowboy welcoming you with a drop of the hat. This captures the essence of Texas and of this happy town.
