Poland promises to shelter 7,000 migrants under a resettlement system adopted last year by European Union members, but Poland’s prime minister Beata Szydlo told Superstacja TV on Wednesday. that she sees no possibility of accepting any refugees following the Brussels attacks.
Poland’s previous government promised to take in several thousand of the refugees arriving in Europe from the Middle East and Africa to help share the burden with other EU countries.
Europe has struggled to cope with the massive influx of people making their way across the national borders of southeastern Europe on their way to the Continent’s affluent north.
