A popular backdrop for Hollywood films
The first film to ever feature Niagara Falls was in 1953’s Niagara, starring Marilyn Monroe and Joseph Cotton. The next movie show the falls was Superman II, which came out a full 27 years after Niagara. 1995’s Canadian Bacon was the third movie to feature the iconic falls in the background.
If you are one of the two people who watched Sharknado 2: The Second One, you caught a glimpse of the falls in between each thrilling scene featuring the devastating shark-studded tornado. The most recent film to star the Niagara Falls was in 2016’s Marshall, starring Chadwick Boseman (RIP) and Kate Hudson.
