Calling it a day
So, with the job completed, the engineers and scientists could pack their things up and get on out of there. But first, they had to remove the makeshift dam they built in the first place. Similar to putting it up, tearing the dam down was going to take a lot of man and machine hours. However, they eventually completed the task by removing bits of the dam to prevent it from flowing at high speeds and pushing their excavators down into the basin.
Eventually, they managed to tear down the dam entirely, and best of all, American Falls had returned to its former grandeur glory. The project was a success, and the falls were a lot safer for it.
