A bare landscape
With the dam doing its job, the scientists had to stop and take in what they were seeing. Niagara Falls has been flowing uninterruptedly for over 10,000 years. The people there realized that they were the only humans to ever dry the riverbed and record their findings. Without human intervention, we wouldn’t be able to witness this marvelous scene for another tens of thousands of years or so, and only after the falls eroded itself from within.
While evaluating the quality of the land and rocks, scientists were more than eager to see what other mysteries lay in the newly-dried riverbed. However, they found something that shook them to their very cores.
