212 infected with HIV in Cambodia

A 55 year old man has confessed to being a quack doctor, as he reveals how he reuses needles for patients and treats the villagers without a valid license.

212 people have tested HIV positive in the Battambang region of Cambodia. According to health authorities, these people became infected with HIV after being treated by a doctor(Yem Chrin) who did not have the license to practice.

The victims were discovered after testing a total of 1, 940 people. Among the people that tested positive to the virus were two year old children and as old as 80 years old elderly citizens.
