Bruno Went From Successful Goalkeeper to Convicted Felon – And Back Again
Bruno Fernandes had a very successful career as a Brazilian goalkeeper for Flamengo until 2010. Unfortunately, his personal life was much more chaotic than his professional one. In June 2010, his mistress Eliza Samudio disappeared. It wasn’t until July that Bruno’s paternity of her child was revealed to the public- and he was furious with her for not terminating the pregnancy like he’d asked her to. He kidnapped Eliza and the baby, but their fates ended up tragically different from each other.
Devastatingly, Samudio found her premature demise at the hands of Fernandes, who was convicted and jailed but later released too early. The baby was found with Fernandes’s wife.
