Wayne Rooney isn’t above the law or his morals like everyone else on this list, and while he has previously faced trouble with his wife, this time, it’s all about betting scandals involving his father and uncle. In 2011, they were both arrested in relation to a game between Hearts and Motherwell.
All of this occurred right before an important game against Montenegro that Rooney was supposed to play in. Eventually, he kicked a player to get a red card and, as a result, was suspended from the Euro Championships group stages later that year.
