Edgar Davids’s Humbling Error

Edgar Davids, a well-known Dutch-Surinamese player and now coach, is not the first to find himself in trouble with FIFA. As he was referred to as one of the most recognizable players due to his use of protective goggles (because he had glaucoma) and long dreadlocks, this talented athlete also proved illicit substances test positive.

In 2001, Davids failed a FIFA drug test due to performance-enhancing substances found in his body and was subsequently suspended.
