Tomáš Rosický’s Crowded Night Out
In 2007, Czech former soccer player Tomáš Rosický’s name was at the center of an embarrassing controversy for the entire Czech Republic team. They were competing in the European qualifier leading up to the Euro 2008 championship when Rosický and four other teammates had a night out with six streetwalkers. A female reporter who pretended to be a fan caught them red-handed.
Rosický said that they were celebrating their teammate’s birthday when the unfortunate incident occurred. They lost 2-1 to Germany that night, so clearly, their celebratory mood was short-lived.
