Taking a risk
The bell might not seem like something many people would need in their lives, but with a description like that, it’s irresistible. The person who wrote the label for the product might have firsthand knowledge of how useful it can be, thanks to the various types of people it could attract. However, the new owner may need to take a bit of a gamble if they want to ring their bell.
While they might find a butler in their room, waiting on them hand and foot, there’s also the chance they’ll attract an angry poltergeist to take over their home. You never know with these things. Hopefully, the bell comes with some kind of built-in receipt that will enable the owner to get rid of it–and any unwanted spirits that come along with it–if they’re unlucky enough to draw the short straw.
