David Ackroyd – Then
David appeared on The Facts of Life for a total of two episodes, playing the role of Major Dorsey. Much like Mrs. Garrett is in charge of the girls at Stone Military Academy, Major Dorsey presides over the boys.
The producers of the show created a spinoff idea in 1983 that focused on male versions of the female characters. The Stone Military Academy was developed as a way to provide a backstory for the potential new show, but it never took off.
