The role of Kevin Metcalf was specifically designed for Ryan Cassidy, who just happens to be the youngest brother of actor David Cassidy. He played the role for five episodes in 1985.
As a member of the Cassidy family, in name and appearance, he was ideally situated to play the role of adorable Kevin. Ryan and his other famous siblings all looked very much alike when they were younger!
