Geri’s love of life led her to being cast on The Facts of Life. After watching Geri act at the Media Access Awards, producer Norman Lear knew he wanted her on his show.
Geri played Geri Tyler on the show from 1980-1984, and she was the first person with a visible disability to have such a significant role in any television series. She also happened to be the very first actor or actress with cerebral palsy.
