Charlotte Rae – Now

In 1983, Charlotte Rae received an Emmy Award nomination for her role as Edna Garrett on the television show “Diff’rent Strokes.” In the years following the show, she appeared in several other TV shows and movies, including “Ricky and the Flash” (with Meryl Streep, Rick Springfields’and Kevin Kline.

Rae loved both film and television but also enjoyed voice roles in shows like The Brothers Flub and Itsy Bitsy Spider. In August 2018, at 92 years old, Charlotte Rae passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family after a long battle with illness.
