The Facts Of Life – Stories From Behind The Scenes

November 19, 2019 by Michael Franklin

Longest Running Sitcom

The show aired for nine years, from 1979 to 1988. In 1988, this made the show the longest-running television sitcom in NBC history at that point. Two hundred one episodes were aired during its run, and fans loved every single one of them.

The show garnered more viewers and lasted longer than  Diff’rent Strokes, the show it was spun off from. However, since 1988 other NBC shows such as Friends, Cheers and Frasier surpassed The Facts of Life’s record viewership.
