Pre-Facts of Life
Before Mrs. Garrett on The Facts of Life, Charlotte Rae had a lengthy career playing various roles. For example, Molly the Mail Lady on Sesame Street where she educated kids about grammar and letters like ‘M.’
Additional examples of Rae’s acting skills are Car 54, Where Are You?, Hot I Baltimore, and Diff’rent Strokes (of course). She acted even after Fact of Life ended, but we’ll get to that later.
